A new eco-responsible workspace in Aix-les-Milles

The Aix-les-Milles district is now home to a new workplace with the delivery of the Sequoia building, a 3,000 m² facility designed to combine energy efficiency, comfort and respect for the environment. This project, completed in just one year after the initial demolition and earthworks phases, marks a milestone in the Group's commitment to sustainable real estate.

Located in a privileged setting, Le Sequoia blends harmoniously into the landscape, thanks in particular to planted areas that respect and extend the local vegetation cover. Preserving mature trees and promoting biodiversity in the surrounding area were among the priorities, enabling this project to stand out for its sensitivity to the surrounding ecosystem.

A building designed for new professional dynamics

The Sequoia offices offer modern workspaces, with a rooftop offering panoramic views over Aix-les-Milles. The rooftop terrace, designed as a place of escape and inspiration, adds a unique dimension to this work environment, where well-being and efficiency meet.

Energy innovation and high environmental quality certification

The Sequoia doesn't just provide visual and functional comfort for its users. Equipped with a self-consumption photovoltaic power plant, it is designed to produce part of its own energy, thus helping to significantly reduce electricity bills for its occupants, particularly useful in the current context of volatile energy prices. This energy model has enabled the building to obtain top-level certifications: Haute Qualité Environnementale 9 (Excellent) and E+C- (BBC Effinergie), recognized labels confirming the building's ecological quality and efficiency.

User comfort: optimized parking and quality facilities

With 99 parking spaces, 74 of which are underground, the Sequoia provides easy access for its occupants, while offering high-quality interior layouts designed to meet today's business needs. The finishes and fittings have been meticulously designed to provide users with a functional and welcoming space.

Green spaces for well-being

The Sequoia's planted outdoor spaces are not just aesthetically pleasing; they play an essential role in the well-being of occupants, creating a calm, soothing environment ideal for recharging one's batteries between meetings or at the end of the day. The preserved trees and landscaping provide a breath of fresh air, reminding us that nature has its place even at the heart of a workspace.

The challenge of this project was to design a building in harmony with its environment, while integrating materials and construction processes designed to minimize its ecological impact. With low-carbon concrete walls and an architectural design that respects local aesthetics, the Sequoia is part of a sustainable real estate approach without compromising on quality.

This project is the fruit of collaboration between the Group, its partners - CBRE, Caisse des Dépôts and TPFI - and the unfailing commitment of the ARTEA Promotion teams.
