The Rifkin, named after the American economist known for his work on the 3rd industrial revolution, was inaugurated in the presence of Madame Maryse Joissains, Mayor of Aix-en-Provence and Roger Pellenc, President of the Technopôle de l'Arbois on October 10, 2019. Like all ARTEA buildings, the 3290 m² building has a roof covered with photovoltaic panels, enabling it to reduce its energy consumption.
At 5 storeys high, the Rifkin is an extension of the Cleantech incubator, with the "Hôtel d'entreprise" on the 2nd floor housing young start-ups. They benefit from fully-equipped offices and shared spaces in an eco-efficient building.
