ARTEA, owner and co-investor in the conversion of "L'Hôtel des Postes", a listed national monument in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

On Tuesday, July 14, 2020, Claude Strasser, Managing Director of POST Luxembourg, presented the transformation and conversion project for the Hôtel des Postes, located on Rue Aldringen in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in the presence of Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg, and Philippe Baudry, CEO of Groupe ARTEA, co-investor and future operator of the project.

An architectural project focused on the customer experience

The conversion of this emblematic building had been the subject of a call for ideas in 2015 without any proposal being selected. Our project aims to restore and sublimate the cultural and architectural dimension of the Hôtel des Postes. Its conversion will also restore to
the original appearance of this real estate complex.

The new purpose of the Hôtel des Postes must be commensurate with the importance of this cultural and architectural heritage to the people of Luxembourg. In its new setting, it will be a place open to a variety of clientele: Luxembourgers first and foremost, tourists, businessmen and women, and anyone attracted by the discovery of a magical new place.
With a total surface area of 8,600 m², the first floor, with its inner courtyard, will house a restaurant, bar and shops, as well as the lobby of a lifestyle hotel in keeping with the codes of this new generation of hotels. On the first to fourth floors, 75% of the space will be reserved for hotels and 25% for coworking. The basement will be dedicated to an independent wellness area accessible to all.

After being validated by POST Luxembourg, the concept for this highly innovative project was presented to London-based interior designer Géraldine Dohogne. She will be responsible for the design and interior layout of the entire Hôtel des Postes project.
This 1st collaboration with Géraldine Dohogne will be renewed on other similar projects developed by ARTEA.

At the press conference, Philippe Baudry, Chairman and CEO of ARTEA, emphasized: "This is a major milestone for ARTEA.
he project to convert the emblematic Hôtel des Postes in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg bears witness to the expertise of ARTEA, whose teams have devised an innovative architectural program capable of breathing new life into this exceptional heritage building steeped in history. Our aim is to integrate it into the city of tomorrow through its new uses. Through this operation, ARTEA illustrates its desire to continue developing its pole services business".
